The film Nacchavule stars newcomers in the lead roles. The film is a simple, sensible and cute story about the life of a teenaged boy from birth to his first crush to his first girl friend and how he finds his true love.

Story:

Luva Kumar (Tanish) is the eldest son of middle class parents. He is a teenager and he also has a kid brother. Like all the boys of his age, he is also desperately looking to woo girls. He makes several attempts but fails all the time.

Lava Kumar finally manages to befriend a cute little girl Anu (Madhavilatha). Anu lives with his widowed father and she takes good care go him. She works in a coffee shop. Lava Kumar takes Anu’s father to a hospital when he suffers a heart attack and this timely helps saves his life.

Anu is indebted to him and so she agrees to his request of acting like his girlfriend for some time. Anu agrees but sets some conditions. The conditions are that Lava Kumar should not make any advances; he should not touch her and also not try any acts like kissing.

Luva Kumar uses the company of Anu to the hilt and slowly becomes a lover boy. But without realizing Anu slowly falls in love with him. Along the way Luva Kumar slowly turns into a Casanova. He starts neglecting Anu.

Luva Kumar captures Anu kissing him on his mobile. Lava Kumar’s brother steals the phone and sells it to a pawn broker. The MMS clip is soon on every mobile. Anu shuns Luva Kumar.

But the sudden death of Luva Kumar’s mother brings about a change in him. The rest of the story is how he gets back his love.

There are several twists and turns and there is also a villain Maddy who tries to foil Luva Kumar’s attempts at every stage.

Performance:

The guy who plays hero has done a neat job. He looks very convincing in his role of a teenager and his relationship with his parents has also been correctly captured.

The heroine is short but cute. She gives a good account of herself as a caring daughter and also as friend and lover.

Ravi Babu appears for a few second in a scene and he draws a huge response from the audience.

The other star cast does full justice to their roles.  The story is simple and the screenplay is also quite interesting. The film runs in a light hearted and entertaining manner in the first half.

It is only late into the second half that the film becomes a bit heavy with sentiment and revenge drama.

The music is good and the song ‘Padmavathi…Padmavathi…’ is interesting and appeals to the youngsters immensely.

The film will appeal to the teenagers immensely as it is a true depiction of the life of an average middle class teenager. Director Ravi Babu manages to weave a decent story and there is also a subtle but strong message in the end – children should look at life not from their own perspective but they should also try to look at life from the perspective of their parents.
